Pete is excited to be back for his third season
with the AquaJets, bringing 13 years of coaching experience to the
club. It is Pete's goal to spark a passion for competitive
swimming to as many members as he can through
his leadership, developing a strong, cohesive club
culture for future years to come.
Assistant Head Coach
Cody has 18 years of swimming experience, is
NCCP level 3 certified and holds a BKin in Recreation and Sport
Administration. In the past 6 years coaching in Regina
Saskatchewan, Cody has produced some of the best in the province,
leading swimmers to provincial and national successes. He
believes that attention to detail, commitment to technique and hard
work; all while having fun will lead to a very successful season
Linda La La Lone
Rutland Head Coach
Linda has been coaching swimming for 22
years. She has also coached triathlon and track
as well. Linda played many sports growing up and enjoys them
all. Most of her heros are kids. Linda's philosophy: Life
is like an ice cream cone...... fun sprinkled with challenges
to help us learn and grow.
Coach / Junior Jets Instructor
I moved from New Zealand to Kelowna in August 2013, starting my
masters iat UBCO. I trained in competitive pool swimming for 8
years, the dreaded 200m Fly being my main event. In the last three
years I have been doing open water swimming, traveling around NZ
for events in the summer.
Since 2003 I have taught swimming to classes aged between 6 months
to 60 years, with each age group bringing its own challenges and
competitive swimming with the Aqua Jets at age 8. She continued
swimming with the club for 8 years at a provincial level. She is
currently entering her 8th season as a coach with the swim
be returning for his second season as an assistant coach
with the Aquajets. Involved in swimming for over 25
years, Sukhpaul swum from a young age up to his Univeristy days in
both summer club with the Ogopogos and with the AquaJets.
Sukhpaul has a family farm out in the Rutland area on Highway 33,
so when not helping out on the pool deck, Sukh is busy managing the
farm or eating fruit!
Junior Jets Instructor
This is Ian's forth year coaching with the kelowna AquaJets. He
has just started his four year business degree in Kelowna at
Okanagan college. He is extremely excited to be coaching the junior
jets this year and looks forward to many good memories from this
season. After spending the summer coaching and traveling he
looks forward to seeing the improvement in the junior jets as the
year progresses. In his free time you will find him up at big white
or hanging out with friends. Please feel free to come have a chat

Thomas is now coaching for the Aquajets after swimming for the
Pacific Sea Wolves for 15 years. He is keen on teaching the
basics and necessities to be successful in the competitive
swimming field. Thomas is excited about working with the Junior
Jets program and helping kids get comfortable in the water.

Hi everyone! I'm very excited to be coaching this year, and I'm eager to get to know all of you! This is my first year coaching for the Kelowna Aquajets, but I have swam in our program for 8 years, and am continuing this year as a Gold Jet. Over the summer I did my Level One coaching course, and I hope this year will be great! Outside of swimming, you can find me at school, or at home hanging out with my dogs. See you on the pool deck!
Cheryl is in her second year with the AquaJets, providing regular training for the Red Jets.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Physical Education in Sport Performance at the University of Alberta, Cheryl returned to her hometown of Kelowna to pursue a career in Sport and Recreation. She began personal training work with ahletes, client rehabilitation and assisted the general population achieve their strength, health and fitness goals.
A Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP) with the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP), Cheryl continues to provide fitness testing services to BC Paramedic Academy applicants. Since joining the team at PacificSport Okanagan in 2008, Cheryl has enjoyed the many opportunities to share her background and expertise in health, fitness, strength & conditioning with athletes and coaches in the sport community. Now, a mother of two, Cheryl enjoys the new adaptations to her training program by keeping up with the litlte ones and experiencing first-hand the "Active Start" stage of development as part of the Canadian Sport for Life model.
Andrew has been training the Gold Jets for the past 2 season. He also has worked at Aspire Health and Performance since its opening in the fall of 2013.
His passion lies in the area of movement enhancement and elite performance. He takes the approach of treating all of his clients as athletes and becomes their partner throughout their journey to success. Andrew is continuously in search for the most effective training methods to help his athletes compete at their best. Andrew’s coaching background extends to both amateur and professional athletes throughout the Okanagan and Ontario. He has had plenty of experience working with swimmers from all the main clubs in the Okanagan. Staying up to date on the latest training modalities and research, Andrew’s coaching is sure to push his athletes towards achievement. The atmosphere that Andrew creates with his athletes is a mixture of enjoyment and high intensity. This comes from a strong effort to make each session new and exciting.
